When we arrived at Chimney Rock,
A sacred hush embraced the air.
The red rocks whispered their ancient talk,
And peace awaited everywhere.
The stupa rose, serene and grand—
A sacred tower shaped by hand.
Its form stretched high, some forty feet,
A symbol where the heavens meet.
Its purpose wrapped in mystery’s thread—
A place where prayers for peace are spread.
Each stone was placed with care and grace,
A monument to time and space.
A man walked in silence, round the stupa’s base,
His footsteps soft, a sacred pace.
A humble orbit, calm and slow—
A path where quiet wisdom grows.
The Buddha watched with timeless grace,
Red stones were scattered at our feet.
The canyon sang with bird-song sweet—
A melody, serene, complete.
Then, with a step, the air grew cold—
A vortex wrapped around my soul.
For just a moment, time stood still,
An unseen force, a sacred chill.
The junipers, in twisted dance,
Their ancient spirals marked the way.
Bare branches rose like conductors’ hands,
Composing symphonies of the woodland grand.
The evening sky turned Amber gold,
As distant shadows cast their glow.
Lyrics captured by a spontaneous moment,
Set at Chimney Rock, Sedona, Arizona.
We posed beneath the endless night,
The cosmic sky, the peaceful end.
The climb, the quiet, and the stars—
A memory held, a journey penned.
